Thanks to all at RTB for your brilliant contribution to the school's celebration last night. How you managed to get the 1812 overture to fit with the fireworks was a miracle! All the best for Whit Friday.

Just a quick one to wish Andy good luck in his new venture. Russia, that's a serious move. Well done on signing Howley though. He's the ideal man to fill Marshy's massive shoes he's leaving behind.
Good Luck for the rest of the year!

Contrary to popular opinion, I can confirm that my name is not made up.
It was nice chatting to some of you guys in The Queens Arms last Saturday.

Ah - more excited now - on closer inspection I see the Europeans will be held in Rotterdam and not 'Rotherham' as I was first led to believe!
Good luck today, have a great day and play like never before. Two piece format should favour RTB well; stamina and control like no other band around.

James-Fantastic evening with Elland Silver Band enjoyed by all your Scottish fans!!! The youth seemed completely inspired with the great sound. Thanks so very much. Amanda

Well done today - I loved every minute of the performance. It would have taken a brave judge not to give Brighouse the prize, very disappointed that your superiority over Black Dyke wasn't acknowledged.
Looking forward to London
Julie
Good luck for tonight

Dear members of RTB!
Once again we have de pleasure to have your MD in front of our band to the National Championship, elite division, held in the Grieg-hall Bergen, 11-12 of February
You can all follow live his (and our) performance at www.spillglede.no on those days.
Dave comes over to Norway some week-ends in January, and he works excellent with the band.
As an own choice we have choosen "On the shoulders of Giants", wich you all know very well:-) a fantastic pice!
The set-piece is a new writing from Maurice Hamers, "The power of soul". Maybe not the best gift to brass bands, but a really stamina-test.... Hard job, with some musical moments;-)! ...and the ending is very quiet...
Good luck to you all with concerts and competitions in 2011, and we hope you will follow-up the great results form the last years.
Roger

Really proud to be associated with RTB! It was a great performance and a wel-deserved result. At last RTB should be recognised as a "Banding Heavyweight" - Thanks for a great weekend.

Well done Rothwell on getting 4th in the National Finals. 4 ahead of your Queensbury rivals !! You are now within sight of the summit. It has been a pleasure to come to "Yorkshire Areas" over the years and to see you move onwards and upwards.
